Recurring Deposit (RD)
Recurring Deposit is a savings option where you deposit a fixed amount every month for a fixed tenure at a fixed interest rate. The interest is compounded quarterly and paid at maturity.
How to use this calculator?
- Enter the Monthly Deposit amount.
- Enter the Rate of Interest (annual percentage).
- Enter the Time in years.
The calculator will show you the interest earned and the maturity value of your RD.
RD Formula
- Maturity Amount = P × n + P × n(n+1) × r / (2×12×100)
- Interest Earned = Maturity Amount – Total Deposited
Example: If you deposit ₹10,000 per month for 5 years at 6.5% interest, the maturity amount will be ₹7,13,125 and the interest earned will be ₹1,13,125.
